MSS COLCHESTER KAWASAKI SUPPORTS JUNIOR SUPERSTOCK CHAMPIONSHIP

MSS Colchester Kawasaki will be further adding to their stable of riders for 2010, with Danny Buchan riding in the Metzeler Junior Superstock Championship.

The ambitious young Essex rider, who has just turned 16, is looking to graduate from his Kawasaki ZXR400 to the impressive Ninja ZX-6R, after a three day test on Cartagena, Spain.

Danny, from Burnham-On-Crouch, entered a one-off Junior Superstock race at Brands Hatch, finishing a creditable 11th at his first attempt on a 600cc machine. A multi-champion in Junior Motocross, Danny said, “It’s exciting to be part of the MSS set-up and get a bit of direction from Nick. Brands Hatch is my favourite circuit so I can’t wait for the start of the season!”

In an ambitious plan of attack, the MSS Colchester Kawasaki squad will field top riders in British Superbike, British Supersport, National Superstock, Junior Superstock plus the Isle of Man and associated ‘roads’ events. Kawasaki has great pedigree in the Junior Superstock class with 2009 Champion Jamie Hamilton taking the series trophy on his stock Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. MSS Colchester Kawasaki will be supporting Jamie as he graduates to the Supersport class for 2010.

Riders in the Junior Superstock class can only change minor suspension and chassis parts with virtual stock machines. That said a well set-up and tested team can eke out vital tenths, which is where MSS Colchester Kawasaki come in.

MSS Colchester Kawasaki Team Owner, Nick Morgan said, ‘To me this is what Team Green is all about, fostering young talent and keeping them in the Kawasaki family. Danny has shown great initiative so far, put in good testing times and we think with his approach he deserves some support.”
